After a rather hectic November, Oki and I finally managed to get up on the island. We are living together with Lisa in a nice house close to the university.
During the first weeks I was mostly working on the EISCAT Svalbard radar to support the TRICE rocket launch from Andøya (see http://www.rocketrange.no/campaigns/trice/).
Oki did not seem to have big problems adapting to his new environment, he loves playing in the snow, barking at reindeer's and visiting the large polar dogs in the dog yard. He has even joined us on a sledge ride where he tried to run some hundred meters next to the sledge :-) But he still rather gets cold feet than putting his shoes on...
