For Easter, Oki and I went with the rest of the family to our hut in Gålå. One week of gorgeous weather, long skiing trips in tons of snow and not to forget "hyttekos" and good food :D
Skiing with Oki was not trivial the first day: He decided to bark at all skiers and constantly run around and did not seem to have any idea of the concept of running in front of a skier.. Fortunately he improved quite a lot :-)

As usual, we went on skiing trips during the day. Here on our favourite trail: Triltåsen :D

Another tradition every Easter is the trip to Lauvåsen to eat pancakes or waffles.

I had to take little detour on a lake just to enjoy the powder snow :D (picture taken by Sandra)

Usually, I took Oki to "Tårnet" from where you have a nice view of Rondane and Jotunheimen mountains for his morning walk. After a couple of days I even dared to try and have him off his leash for shorter time periods. He did great as long as we did not meet other skiers or dogs - or even worse the huge machine that prepares the trails... Oki did at one point make an attempt to take out this machine, and I could not do much besides watching and just hoping he would not be run over...
Perfect skiing conditions on the way to Tårnet :D :D

Sandra in her woolen underwear... hmmmm, sexy, right Trond???
I have never before seen as much snow as we had this year in Gålå during Easter. And that means.. since something like 1995.
Trying to free the terrace from snowSkiing with Oki (video taken by Sandra)
A bit of champagne for the special occasion

And of course beer - cooled in the pile of snow on the terrace
Now there are basically two types of "engangsgrill": Those who work and those who don't. Apparently, we had managed to get one that does not work, and hence, as much as Oki tried to hypnotize the sausages they did not get very hot....

So my mother decided we needed to help the grill, and found a bottle of Otard Cognac...

However, flambéeing the sausages did only help a little

and so my mother came up with a second ingenious idea

to kick start the grill with a hair dryer...

The latter solution worked perfectly fine, and we could all enjoy cognac flambéed, hair dried sausages. Sounds worse than it was - they actually tasted really nice :-)

And as the sun went down we realized how cold it was - the beer froze faster in the glass than we could drink it!!
