On December 30th, my parents came visit me and celebrate new year :D
We had a great time together, and I guess they really experienced funny weather during their stay in the high arctic… It started out with -10 really heavy wind on New Years eve (Notice how the fireworks get blown towards the left...)

We did a lot more than shoot fireworks and drink champagne out of the bottle, but I don't have any more pictures :S
Anyways, after new years eve we had some days with rain & plus 6 degrees which made the city flood over followed by a temperature decrease with wind which gave us ice - nothing but ice... Nevertheless we got to see the museum, the gallery, went shopping, saw the aurora on trips, my father went dog sledging with Karoline and me (on skies), and my mother tried scooter driving (in poring rain). Not bad ;-) Still they did not get up to the radar or the auroral station due to the bad weather. A good reason to hopefully see them here again in summer :-))
