Barbeque trip tp Pyramiden

Sunday morning... gorgeous weather... We had recovered from the half-marathon and were ready to go to Pyramiden for a barbecue in the sun. Waking up Roy-Erik wasn't the easiest task... The drive takes about 2hrs each way if the weather and the snow conditions are good.

Small stop at the glacier scarp of Nodenskjoldbreen just as you drive onto the sea ice of Dickson fjorden (from left to right: Sandra, Oki, Roy-Erik)

The Vodka bottle house - a house build of Vodka bottles. I guess Vodka bottles are cheap building material in a Russian town ;-)

After our visit in Pyramiden we decided to drive a bit further up Dicksonfjorden so Sandra and Roy-Erik could have a look at the "Tarantella" (tarantula), a big piece of rock sitting on the mountain. From there we went back via the Mittag-Leffler glacier and onto Nordenskjold glacier.
